DraftKings Sportsbook logoDraftKings Sportsbook review

8.1/10

By Priya Natarajan · last tested August 28, 2026

Quick verdict

The market's board-depth champion: no book offers more markets or props, withdrawals pay faster than most, and the product is dependable. Pricing is mid-pack, the once-famous promo engine has gone quiet, and — like every retail major — it limits winners quickly.

Our experience

DraftKings has been the reliable workhorse: we have never caught an outage, deposits via PayPal and debit are effectively instant, and payouts arrive faster than at most competitors. The search function is the best in the business at actually finding a bet. Our gripes: support answers quickly but rarely fixes anything, the crowns accumulate slowly, and the promotional calendar we've seen is thin next to its reputation.

Odds & pricing

Decent — not the best, not the worst, and that matches the numbers: DraftKings' reported hold runs around 10.5 percent, meaningfully below FanDuel's, which makes it the cheaper of the big two in aggregate. On any single market it's rarely the outlier price in either direction. Shop your number, but you won't often be embarrassed taking DK's.

Betting markets

The deepest menu in American betting — the benchmark other books get measured against, with 100-plus props on an NFL game and the widest same-game-parlay market set reviewers count. If a bet exists, DraftKings probably lists it.

Live betting

Great speed and coverage in our experience — in-play markets populate quickly and the menu stays deep through the game. Not quite FanDuel's polish, but firmly in the top tier.

App & website

Powerful and busy. Navigation is straightforward once you know it, and search is genuinely excellent, but the layout pushes casino and crossovers hard enough that the sportsbook can feel like one tab of a larger mall. Reliability, in our use, has been flawless.

Deposits & withdrawals

Swipe-to-deposit with PayPal or debit works fast and well, the $5 minimum is the lowest of the majors, and withdrawals pay out faster than a lot of books — debit rails are reputed to land in minutes-to-hours during business hours. No credit-card withdrawals.

Promotions

The signup offer is fine; ongoing offers, in our experience, have barely existed — and the community's read is the same, that DK's once-generous promo engine has been dialed down. Terms on what remains are dense and playthrough-heavy. If promos drive your betting, FanDuel treats volume far better.

Rewards

Dynasty Rewards is better than most: crowns are tangible and redeemable. But they accumulate slowly at normal stakes, and reward value is undercut by bet limits on boosted markets. Middle of the pack overall.

Customer support

Quick to respond, slow to resolve — our issues were acknowledged promptly and fixed rarely. Public complaint boards echo the account-verification and limiting themes common to every major.

Final verdict

An 8.1 that earns its number on depth and dependability. DraftKings is the book you open when the bet you want doesn't exist anywhere else, and the payout speed and reliability make it easy to keep funded. Just don't come for the promos anymore — and if you win consistently, expect the ceiling to find you.

Use DraftKings Sportsbook if

Prop and niche-market bettors who need the widest menu in the market; anyone who values fast payouts and a $5 minimum deposit; DFS players already inside the DraftKings ecosystem.

Look elsewhere if

Bettors who choose a book on price alone, and anyone allergic to a busy, casino-forward interface. Consistent winners report quick limiting and loss of access to boosts.

What we actually tested

  • No outages observed; instant PayPal/debit deposits; faster-than-average payouts; strong search; quick-but-unhelpful support
