TrueEdge Odds Update, October 22 — A Quiet Stretch, What Each Plan Costs, and Where Outlier and OddsShopper Beat Us

Nothing a subscriber would notice shipped in the past week. That makes this mostly a price-and-scope comparison against the two rivals whose prices we could read on their own pages today. Three others, including OddsJam and Unabated, are marked "not verified today", because we could not read them and will not guess.

Disclosure: TrueEdge Wire and TrueEdge Odds have the same owner. This is first-party advocacy, not independent testing. Every TrueEdge fact below comes from what is deployed and live today. Every competitor price was read from that vendor's own page on October 22, 2026, and the page is linked. Where we could not read a price, we say so, and we have not carried any figure forward from an earlier article.

Below: what changed, what each plan costs, how the price compares, where rivals beat us, and who should stay where they are.

Pinnacle, November 18, 2025, explaining how to calculate expected value, the measure every tool on this list is built around.

1. What shipped since the last update: nothing you would notice

This was a quiet week. This is the first piece in the series, so it covers the seven days from October 15. Nothing committed in that window has reached every running TrueEdge surface yet, so there is no new feature to report. We are not going to dress up internal maintenance as a feature. Work that has been merged but not yet deployed does not count as shipped, and we have left it out.

2. What the two plans cost

TrueEdge (Base) is $79.99 a month, or $63.99 a month billed yearly, which is $767.90 a year. It is the full opportunity feed: +EV bets priced against a de-vigged fair line, arbitrage with the locked return and stake split solved, middles with their width, and low-hold pairs. Those feeds cover sides, totals, team totals, alternates and player props across every major sport. It adds line-movement history, saved filters, alert rules by sport, market, book, minimum edge and minimum stake, a hedge finder, a filter for the books legal in your state, manual bet tracking with closing line value and ROI, and the promo optimizer for bonus bets, site credit, second-chance bets, boosts and rebates. Base alerts go to the in-app feed, Discord or your own webhook. Push alerts to your phone are a Live feature.

TrueEdge Live is $299.99 a month, or $239.99 billed yearly, which is $2,879.90 a year. It adds the full odds board with every book's price on each bet, in-play prices, real-time streaming, a choice of de-vig method (multiplicative, additive, power or Shin), one-click betslip links, sharp books including Pinnacle and Circa, regional books, automatic bet import from a connected book, and push alerts.

The exchange add-on is $19.99 a month on Base and is included in Live. It puts exchange prices in the feed alongside the sportsbooks and gives access to the venues' order books. Depth at each price level is listed as "coming soon," so do not buy it expecting to see order sizes yet.

Both plans start with one 7-day free trial per account. VIP is sold by contact and has no published price.

3. TrueEdge against Outlier: Outlier is much cheaper at the entry tier

Outlier's Premium is $19.99 a month, and its plan list includes EV+ indicators, a Positive EV Power Feed, sharp book odds, middles and an arbitrage feed, read today on Outlier's plans section. Premium+ is $29.99 under a button labelled "Early Bird Rate," so treat that as a promotional price. Pro with its React Live app is $79.99, the same as our Base monthly price.

For a bettor who wants a +EV list, some arbitrage and a middles screen, Outlier is a quarter of the price. Our case for the extra $60 is the work that comes after you find a bet: closing line value on every bet you log, a hedge finder that searches the board for the other side of a position you hold, the state filter, and promo conversion. Outlier's page lists a Boost Index; we found no bonus-bet converter on its plan list today. If you never log a bet and never convert a promo, that case is weak.

4. TrueEdge against OddsShopper: OddsShopper is cheaper for live tools and publishes a book count

OddsShopper Core is $99.95 a month and Pro is $149.95, read today on OddsShopper's subscribe page, with a 7-day trial. Its feature list includes custom de-vigging, in-game EV, an in-game odds screen and in-game arbitrage. The page did not render which features belong to which plan, so we cannot tell you whether in-game arbitrage starts at Core or Pro. Either way, it is at most $149.95, against $299.99 for TrueEdge Live.

At the base tier the comparison goes the other way: our Base is $79.99 against Core's $99.95. Annual billing is closer than it looks. OddsShopper shows a "Save 17%" toggle but did not render the annual price, and ours is $63.99 a month billed yearly.

5. OddsJam, Unabated and DarkHorse: not verified today

We could not read these three prices today, so we are not printing any. OddsJam's subscription page returned an error to our reader. Unabated's and DarkHorse's pricing pages loaded without any plans or prices. All three publish prices, and you can read them yourself in a browser. We will not quote them from memory, a review site or an earlier article of ours. Those figures change, and a stale one has embarrassed us before.

6. Where the competitors are better

Book coverage, stated plainly. OddsShopper's page says it carries odds from 110+ sportsbooks and 40+ leagues. Our pricing page states no book count, so we cannot make a number-for-number claim. A bettor who shops a long list of regional books should start with the vendor that publishes a number.

Live tooling for less. In-play prices on TrueEdge are a Live feature at $299.99. OddsShopper lists in-game EV and in-game arbitrage at $149.95 or less. If live betting is the main use, that difference is real money.

De-vig choice at the base tier. Choosing the fair-value method is Live-only on TrueEdge. OddsShopper lists custom de-vigging, though, as above, we could not see which plan includes it.

Track record. Nothing in this piece is evidence that TrueEdge's numbers make anyone money, and we have no independent results to show you. Older tools have years of users who have tested them against the market.

7. Who should not switch

The best case for staying put is cost. A bettor paying $19.99 for Outlier who uses only its +EV list gets most of the value we charge $79.99 for. Switching would mean paying four times as much for features they would not use.

Live bettors on a budget should keep OddsShopper unless they need our odds board, streaming or betslip links. Anyone who has built alert rules, Discord channels and a long bet history around another tool should count the cost of rebuilding that before switching for features they may not use.

Who should try us: someone who logs bets and cares about closing line value, converts sportsbook promos every week, and wants the +EV, arbitrage, middles, hedge and promo tools in one place for $79.99. That is what the 7-day trial is for. Cancel inside it if the board does not earn its price.
