TrueEdge Odds Update, October 26 — NBA Props, a Longshot-Adjusted Edge and Sharp-Close CLV Are Live, and Outlier Is Still a Third of Our Price

After two updates with nothing to report, the October 25 deploy put three weeks of merged work on every surface at once. Here is what a subscriber can now see, with merge dates, and how the plans compare with Outlier and OddsShopper on prices read today. OddsJam, Unabated and DarkHorse are "not verified today.

Disclosure: TrueEdge Wire and TrueEdge Odds have the same owner. This is first-party advocacy, not independent testing. Every TrueEdge fact below describes what is deployed and live on every TrueEdge surface today, taken from our own deployment record. Every competitor price was read from that vendor's own page on October 26, 2026, and each page is linked. Where we could not read a price, we say so.

On October 22 and again on October 24 this column said nothing new had shipped. Both statements were true under our rule, which counts a change only once every running surface carries it. Most of the work below was merged between October 11 and October 23 and sat waiting for the October 25 deploy. That lag is a weakness, and we come back to it in item 9.

Pinnacle on how to measure closing line value, the yardstick behind the new sharp-close CLV score in item 3.

1. NBA player props are in the feeds: DraftKings, Kalshi and bet365

The October 19 release added NBA player props from three sources and reached every surface with the October 25 deploy. Kalshi's ladders cover points, rebounds, assists, threes, points-rebounds-assists, steals and blocks. DraftKings' prop subcategories are now walked as well, and bet365 event cards now carry over/under sides and lines and the fixture's start time. Because props sit inside every plan's +EV, arbitrage and middles feeds, Base subscribers get these rows too. Browsing the whole prop ladder yourself on the odds board is a Live feature. One caution that matters this week: the NBA's new deal with Kalshi promises "restrictions on permissible markets," so some exchange prop markets may change or disappear.

2. A second, longshot-adjusted edge on every +EV row

Every +EV row now shows a second edge, adjusted for the favourite-longshot bias using the Shin method (merged October 11). Stakes are sized on that adjusted figure rather than on the raw one. Since October 14, rows whose adjusted edge falls below the floor are hidden, and a row where Kelly sizing declines the bet no longer shows a flat $100 stake. The point is practical. Books tend to load more of their margin onto longshots than a simple proportional de-vig removes; Data Golf's 2021 analysis shows that returns fall as odds lengthen even when nobody is irrational. So a raw edge at +800 is the figure most likely to look like value and not be. The fair price is now saved on each bet you log.

3. Closing line value against the sharp, no-vig close

Logged bets are now scored against a sharp no-vig closing price (merged October 19): the market's closing number with the margin taken out, not just the closing price at the book you bet. This is the change in the batch most worth having, because CLV is the one number that says whether your process beats the market before results catch up.

4. A Max stake filter on +EV

An opt-in Max stake ($) filter on the +EV feed (merged October 18) caps the suggested stake at a figure you set. It works alongside the liquidity caps the feed already applies. This matters most for anyone sizing on Kelly with a bankroll that would otherwise suggest stakes the book will not take.

5. Hedging and the tracker, smaller but real

The Hedge Finder now logs exchange hedges net of the taker fee (October 12), states the position it is hedging, and treats Kalshi game totals as hedges again (October 20). Promo presets now keep the offer itself (book, promo type, amount and reward fields) instead of just the filter (October 19). Hard Rock Bet's state list now matches hardrock.bet: Colorado, Illinois and Michigan were added and Iowa dropped (October 19). Bet links now go only to books licensed in the viewer's state (October 13). Novig prices were repaired after Novig's servers began refusing our requests around October 18. Ten book-specific bonus-bet guides and a hub went up, and the web account menu now has a Request a feature form that goes straight to the team (October 23).

6. What the plans cost

TrueEdge (Base) is $79.99 billed monthly, or $63.99 a month billed yearly: $767.90 a year. It includes the +EV, arbitrage, middles and low-hold feeds, every major sport with sides, totals, alternates and props, line-movement history, saved filters, alerts by sport, market, book, edge and stake (in-app, Discord or your own webhook), the hedge finder, the state filter, manual bet tracking scored for CLV and ROI, and the promo optimizer.

TrueEdge Live is $299.99 billed monthly, or $239.99 billed yearly: $2,879.90 a year. It adds the full odds board, in-play prices, real-time streaming, your choice of de-vig method (multiplicative, additive, power or Shin, anchored or consensus), one-click betslip links, sharp books including Pinnacle and Circa, regional books, automatic bet import and phone push alerts. The exchange add-on is $19.99 a month on Base and is included in Live. Depth at each order-book level is still "coming soon." There is one 7-day free trial per account. VIP is sold by contact with no published price. The pricing page states no book count, so we do not either.

7. Outlier: cheaper at entry, and the gap has not moved

Outlier Premium is $19.99 a month, Premium+ $29.99 and Pro + React Live $79.99, each "Billed upfront annually," read today on Outlier's plans section. Premium lists a Positive EV Power Feed, sharp-book odds, middles, an arbitrage feed, real-time alerts and "Thousands of Props & Games." Against our annual Base at $63.99, Premium is under a third of the price. Multiplied out, Premium comes to about $240 a year against our $767.90. That is our arithmetic, because Outlier's page does not show the upfront total. Pro + React Live works out to about $960 a year, more than Base, but the two cover different ground. Pro adds React Live and boost analysis. Base adds sharp-close CLV, the hedge finder, the state filter and promo conversion. The "Early Bird Rate" button on Premium+ and the "62% off" on Pro both read as promotional pricing.

8. OddsShopper: monthly prices, and a book count it publishes

OddsShopper Core is $99.95 a month and Pro $149.95, with a 7-day trial, read today on OddsShopper's subscribe page. Annual billing carries a "Save 17%" label but showed no price. On monthly billing, Base is $20 cheaper than Core. At the live tier it runs the other way: OddsShopper lists in-game EV and in-game arbitrage at no more than $149.95, against $299.99 for TrueEdge Live. The per-plan checkmarks did not render, so we cannot say which features start at Core.

OddsJam, Unabated and DarkHorse: not verified today. OddsJam's subscribe page returned HTTP 403. Unabated's and DarkHorse's loaded only a title. We print no figure for any of them.

9. Where the competitors are better

Entry price. Outlier's annual Premium covers the core opportunity feeds for under a third of our Base.

Coverage you can check. OddsShopper publishes "110+ sportsbooks" and "40+ leagues." We publish no count, and a tool that will not state its coverage loses that comparison by default.

Live tooling. In-play prices on TrueEdge need the $299.99 Live plan. OddsShopper lists in-game EV and arbitrage at half that or less.

Shipping speed. Work merged on October 11 reached every surface on October 25. A subscriber waiting on a fix waited two weeks, and Novig prices were broken for part of that window.

Track record. We have no independent results showing that anyone makes money on TrueEdge numbers. The longer-established tools have years of users testing them against the market.

10. Who should not switch

The best case for staying put is that you already have what you use. An Outlier Premium subscriber who uses the +EV list and nothing else pays about $240 a year for most of what we charge $767.90 for, and this update does not change that. An OddsShopper user who bets in-game and never needs betslip links or automatic import should stay too. Anyone with years of history and alert rules on another platform faces a real cost in moving them.

Who this release is for: a bettor who sizes on Kelly and wants the stake to account for longshot bias, who wants every bet scored against a sharp close rather than a vigged one, and who bets NBA props across DraftKings, bet365 and Kalshi. That bettor gets the most from Base at $63.99 a month billed yearly. The 7-day trial is enough to find out whether that is you.
