Everyone's Launching Prediction Markets. BetMGM Is Betting It Doesn't Have To.

Quick verdict
A big brand with real assets — casino-grade rewards, a strong parlay builder, better depth than most — undermined where it counts by the worst promotional experience we've had at a major book and customer support that wouldn't explain it. Usable as a line-shopping outlet; hard to recommend as a primary.

What doesn't
How these are produced: review methodology. The overall rating is the average of scored categories.
The core product works: deposits are fast, withdrawals have been clean, and reliability has been solid. The experience fell apart around promotions, in two separate ways. The standard $1,500 signup offer, in our editor's brother's case, was not usable as advertised — the account was limited below the qualifying stake before a first bet was ever placed, so only a fraction of the offer could be used. Our editor's own case came on a deposit-match offer: mid-playthrough, account limits were tightened to the point the wagering requirement could not be completed inside the offer window. In both cases support responded quickly, explained nothing, and showed no interest in the gap between the offer as advertised and the offer as usable. Draw your own conclusions; ours are reflected in the promotions score.
Genuinely decent, and better than a lot of books on certain markets — worth including in a line-shop rotation. Industry data backs the middle-tier read: hold in the four-to-five percent range typical of retail majors, structurally below the parlay-heavy leaders.
Depth is better than most of the field — the Angstrom-powered prop and parlay menus are extensive — but it doesn't reach the DraftKings/FanDuel tier. For mainstream sports you'll rarely miss a market.
In-play speed is decent but a step behind the top books. The continuously-live SGP legs are a nice piece of engineering when they're available.
Glitchier than a flagship app should be, especially on iPad, where aspect-ratio handling leaves betslip elements unclickable until you rotate the device back and forth. Navigation is workable but sometimes confusing. Reviewers rate the phone app well; our tablet experience says the QA net has holes.
No complaints on either side in our use: deposits are fast, withdrawals have arrived without drama. Reviewers rate BetMGM's rails standard for the majors — PayPal and Play+ quick, ACH in days. Note the operator ended credit-card deposits nationwide in March 2026, per industry coverage.
On paper, frequent and competitive. In practice, the two promotional experiences closest to this desk were the worst we've encountered at a regulated book: a signup offer whose qualifying bet the book itself wouldn't accept at the advertised size (our editor's brother's account), and a deposit match whose playthrough our editor's own account limits made impossible to complete in time. Until BetMGM squares its offers with its limiting practices, treat every promo here as provisional.
MGM Rewards is the program's selling point and it does connect to real rooms and comps — but as a betting loyalty program we found it underwhelming, and it doesn't move the math on ordinary volume.
Fast to reply, empty of answers. On the issues that mattered — why accounts were limited mid-offer — support gave no explanation and no escalation path. That combination of responsiveness and unhelpfulness earns the lowest support score we've given a major book.
A 6.6 reflects the split: real pricing and depth on one side, and on the other a promotional and support experience that cost it our trust. Keep it in the rotation for its numbers. Don't bet the offers.
Use BetMGM if
MGM Resorts loyalists who can route play into comps; line-shoppers, since BetMGM's pricing on certain markets beats a lot of mid-tier books; SGP bettors who want a second builder.
Look elsewhere if
Anyone planning to bet because of a headline offer — between our editor's own deposit-match experience and his brother's signup-offer experience, the advertised promotions were not usable as advertised. iPad users should also brace for UI glitches.
Deposit-match offer: account limits tightened mid-playthrough, making the wagering requirement impossible to complete inside the offer window; support declined to explain
